06.10.2025: COMMEMORATIVE ACTIVITIES ON GANDHI JAYANTHI, The CISCE council had extended its imitation to all schools under its affiliation to activity participate in various activities commemorating Gandhi Jayanthi. In response our school enthusiastically took part in the cleanliness drive. Students from grade 9 accompanied by Ms. Aneetha, visited the nearby village of Bharath Nagar and actively participated in clean-up campaign. The initiative aimed to instill in students the values of service, cleanliness and social responsibility-echoing Mahatma Gandhi’s mission of clean and progressive nation.

06.10.2025: DRUG AWARNESS RALLY Students of grade 7 under the guidance of Sr. Principal and Mr. Prakash organized a drug awareness rally. Students carrying flash card with slogans chanted walked from the school campus to Barracks. They took an oath to spread awareness on drugs and students from class 7 gave inspiring speeches on drugs and its hazards. Such rallies make children responsible and use the freedom they have in a sensible way. Our school has been showing been interest in spreading awareness about drugs and it’s hazards

08.10.2025: GREEN OLYMPIAD, TERI [Tata Energy and Research Institute had organized the GREEN OLYMPIAD. 32 students from grade 9 and 10 participated in this Olympiad. It was held in the exam hall. Each student was given a question booklet with the OMR sheet in it. The duration of the Olympiad was one hour and of multiple choice questions. It had a total of 50 questions. Green Olympiad ensures all banners acquire knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development.

08.10.2025: ROTARY CLUB MEETING, a short meeting was held with all the interact club office bearers and the co-coordinator. The main agenda of the meeting wasproposed to raise funds to proud necessary items to the marginatised.
10.10.2025: DRUG AWARENESS, under the guidance of Mr. Prakash in collaboration with the local police department drug awareness program was organized. The program was a part of the school assembly. Students of grade 7 participated with lot of enthusiasm. Tamil speech and English speech was given by the students. This gave an opportunity to spread awareness among children the ill effect of using drugs.

10.10.2025: AWARENESS THROUGH ART
The police department of wellington had organized an art competition for classes 1-12. The topics were
- Drug Abuse
- Road Safety
- Child Abuse
- Sexual harassment
- Cyber Crime
The best of work was celebrated from each class and submitted to the department. Art is unusual language. It can be used as a medium to convey various messages. Our students participated enthusiastically.

10.10.2025: Rev Fr. Felix assistant parish priest of St. Joseph’s church, Wellington addressed the students of IX, X, XI, XII on the topic discernment. There was around 60 students were present for the same.

360º MOBILE PLANETARIUM SHOW “Show we know is a drop, what we don’t know is an ocean”- Isaac Newton
The Mystery Domes had brought a new array of experience to our children. They set up a portable planetarium in the school basketball court. Children from UKG to 12 standards were shown starry objects and spectacular objects of space. It was a new educational experience. It gave an opportunity to know about astronomy and related sciences. The planetarium show was held for two days. It opened a plethora of imagination for the kids. It would have aspired many to the astronauts.

OCTOBER 15, FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
Students of grade 5 and grade 9 celebrated the festival of lights in the school assembly. It began with a meaningful prayer service, followed by cultural events. The students were well guided by the class teachers of grade 5 and grade 9. The programme ended with the vote of thanks by Sr.Principal AviaVaz.

21.10.2025: POLICE COMMENMORATION DAY, At the A.R campus in Udhagamandalam Nilgiri District on the occasion of police commemoration Day, District Collector, Mrs. Lakshmi BhavyaShanneru, IAS paid homage at the police memorial. Ms. N Nisha DGP, Nilgiris was also present on this historic day. Celebrating this day an art competition was organised by the police Department for the schools is an around Nilgiris. From our school Ms. KaviRajani of grade 11 and Ms. Ridhi of grade 11 participated in this competition. The competition was held in A. R campus, Udhagamandalam. Children were given 2 hours to complete and results were announced immediately. Ms. KaviRajani secured the first place, she was awarded by Ms. N. Nisha DGP, Nilgiris with ta certificate and shield. Ms. Ridhi secured a consolation prize and was awarded a certificate. The competition gave an opportunity was also seen published in the local newspaper.

25.10.2025: POEM RECITATION COMPETITION, Our students of grade 1 had their poem recitation competition. Participants were from the 3 sections. They had to dress themselves as ti the poem and sing the poem or recite with actions. It was indeed a happy and delightful day for us. The little wonders of grade 1 had dressed themselves as clouds, as flowers and many more. The judges for the day were Ms. Jacintha and Ms. Sasikala from the KG section. The competition was well organized and was a platform for the children to build their confidence. The prize winners were announced and awarded with certificates.

25.10.2025: CELEBRATING MOTHER MRIA CLARA, Celebrating Mother Maria Clara the entire school was invited to participate in competitions at various levels. The aim of the competition was to instill in children the golden deeds of Mother Maia Clara and carry her message far and wide.
GRADE I to IV – Draw and colour image of Mother Maria Clara
GRADE V to VIII – Draw and paint on the theme Mother Clara friend of children
GRADE XI to X – The theme for drawing was “Mother Maria Clara the friend of Youth”
GRADE X to XII – Mother Clara friend of the Orphan.
GRADE I-XII – Open invitation to all Poem Recitation- “Life of Mother Maria Clara”
Children from all classes participated enthusiastically. The best of paintings and best poems were sent to the provincial. It was a day filled with goodness and joy. Teachers played an important role in organizing and implementing.
27.10.2025 to 04.11.2025: National Boxing Gold Medalist, Saswath, grade 11 student had participated in the 46-48 wt category for under 17’s after repeating the Tilangana team in the quarters defeating the North zone team in the semifinals and finally defeated Maharastra team to win the National Gold Medal. A proud moment for him, for us and for our student fraternity. He has become an inspiration to all. His hardwork have made him excel at the National level. This success made him to participate in the International competition held in Itanagar from October 2 to November 4. If he wins this competition he will be participating in the international competition. We all wish him success I his endeavors.

27.10.2025: Infantry day, The 79thInfantry Day was commemorated at MRC. Students of grade X A and X B were invited to witness the day. Mr. Sebastian and Mr. Nandakumar accompanied the children. Children witnessed the armsand ammunitions exhibited in the regiment. A short film highlighting the camaraderie and spirit of Armed forces were screened at Roperia Stadium Weapon and equipment display was organized, followed by a visit to the MRC museum and map reading nursery. This game an opportunity to view various military equipment and learn about the functioning of Indian Army. The entire gathering was addressed by Maj. Baghindir Singh. Our children were excited and also inspired to see men and women in uniforms. Working every moment to keep the country safe.

27.10.2025: AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON POSCO & POSCO ACT, The department of child welfare and special service, Nilgiris had organized an awareness programme and schools were given invitation to be a part of the awareness programme. The venue was christus Rex Secondary school, Ooty. The District Child Protection Department was also a part of it. Mr. Prakash and Ms. Angel represented our school in this event.
The session focused on child’s Right which includes:
- Right to life
- Right to Development
- Right to Protection
- Right to Participation
The session also throwed light on village level child committees [VLCC]. Schools were advised to appoint 4 to 5 teachers who should work in collaboration with NGO’s to ensure. Protection from sexual or any other kinds of harassment in schools and work places. Incidents of any such kind should be immediately reported to the District child Protection Office. During birthday celebration students should be greeted verbally without any physical contact.
Schools should appoint a child- nodal teacher. Once a week there should be a meet-greet session, were the class teacher will meet the children, hear their issues and if any incidents have taken place, it should be immediately reported. Teachers were advised not to corner or discriminate a child on any grounds. The entire session was enlightening and meaningful.
