24.01.2026: Second Term Open Day, Classes from Kindergarten to grade 8 had the open day. It gave an opportunity for teachers to meet parents and discuss on their wards performance.

The Brain Carnival 2026: Sri Jain Jwak Sangh and St. Joseph’s college, together organized the workshop for students, THE BRAIN CARNIVAL 2026. Parents were Bindiya Murugai a renounced life coach. Students from in and across the Coonoor town were invited to be a part of the workshop. Our school head girl Ms. Andrea grade 11 students along with our PT instructor Mr. Sebatian attended the workshop. The brain carnival event aimed to give practical tools for mental wellness, instant clarity hacks, stress management techniques and pees support. The interactive session helped students to be empowered helping them to reset their brains, manage stress, beat phone addition and build resilience. It was a blend of motivational learning. a goal of making the brain reset accessible and engaging for students. It was a rewarding experience.

25.01.2026: NILGIRI MARATHON FOR DRUG FREE NILGIRIS: The Deepam TV Drug -Free Nilgiris marathan was organised with the objective of creating awareness among the public especially the youth. The event flagged off in the early hours of the morning with participates running from Bedford-Coonoor- Sjc- staff college, Sims Park, St. Antony’s church and Bedford. It was a 10 km Run.

Twenty students from our school participated along with Mr. Sebastian our PT Instructor. Aman of grade 8 secured the 3rd position prosing his endurance and mental strength. It was indeed a proud moment to see our children shining. Medals and trophies were given to the winners and certificated to the participate this marathon stood as a meaningful step towards building a heathers, responsible and conscious society.

27.01.2026: Road Safety Seminar, A road safety seminar was organized by Bharatiya Jain Snaghatana, Coonoor at 3.00 p.m. The students of grade XI participated in the programme alongside two teachers. A video on road safety measures was shown to the students. It aimed to teach students how to spot road hazards, follow traffic signals and use safe crossing points like zebra crossings students were warned not to ride two wheelers without obtaining license. The seminar aimed to cut accident risks by promoting alertness and rule adherence, especially by teenagers. Books containing traffic rules, safety signals and symbols were being sold. Students could buy them ny paying 100.

30.01.2026: A Grand spectacle: The Annual day celebration

The Annual Day of our school transformed into a vibrant arena of joy, talent and triumph on 30, Jan 2026. This annual extravaganza brought together students, parents, teachers and dignitaries in a symphony of colours, music and performance, reaffirming the schools commitment to holistic education and cultural enrichment.

The first show for KG to grade IV commenced in the morning at 9.30 a.m. The chief guest for the grand celebration was Ms. Diana Cyrus Barucha, founder of Kinder trust, Coonoor. The morning commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the traditional lamp by the esteemed chief guest, alongside the principal Rev. Sr. Avia Vaz and other dignitaries. Sister Principal gave a warm welcome to the gathering and the Annual Report for the academic year 2024-25 was presented to everyone present. The first performance was a welcome dance by the troupe. The tiny tots of the pre-kg enchanted the audience with their innocent honey-bee dance. This was followed by a jungle dance by the blooming buds of the upper kindergarten. It was a mesmerize the primary students fusion of classical Bharatanatyam, Bhangra, Kolattam, Manipuri dance and the Ghoomar Dance. The performance captivated the audience with their colourful costumes and synchronizing steps. They also brought alive the national symbols of our country the grade I and II students presented a song on the national symbols of India. The highlight of the morning was a hilarious skit on the Kohinoor guest “It was a whimsical blend of history, pop culture and digital satire. Beyond laughter the play depicted how we value heritage, legacy and national treasures in the age of social media. The play won many accolades from the audience and the chief guest. The highlight of the morning was the cultural extravaganza by the senior classes- a scintillating dance performance on the theme” Incredible India.: Interwoven with these artistic display were the academic students were honoured by our Principal. They were presented with trophies and certificates. The event peaked with the chief guest’s inspiring address, urging students to be kind, mindful about nature. As the final notes of the National Anthem echoed, the audience appreciated the explosive potential of our students. The show concluded at 12 noon.

The second show for grade V to XI commenced at 3.00 p.m. Mr. V.K Parthasarathy, District Educational Officer (Private Schools) and Headmasters of Nedukula Government School graced the occasion as the chief guest with his presence. Fr. Felix, Assistant Paris Priest was the esteemed guest of honour. The celebration kicked –off with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony. This was followed by a solemn prayer song by the choir. Our Principal welcomed the gathering with a warm speech and presented the Annual Report.

The contemporary dance by the students on the theme” Fathers Love” left the audience  touched and applause filled the hall. A Hindi dance drama was put up emphasizing the urge to save trees and the environment. A dance on the five elements of nature was presented by the students of nature was presented by the students. “Vetri Nichayam”- a Tamil skit showing how grandparents and parents play a vital role in shaping the character and future of the children won all hearts.

An English skit-: The Kohinoor Quest” captivated the audience with its humour and metatheatrical twist. The grand finale performance was the “Incredible India Dance portraying the life of Raja Raja Chola- The students spirited mime on Operation Sindoor” A special segment, honored the students for their exemplary academic excellence . Trophies and certificates were bestowed upon meritorious students. The event peaked with the honoring of the ICSE and ISC board toppers. Two students were honored securing centum in the board examination. The teachers and parents of the board achievers were also awarded. This was followed by a vote of thanks. The National Anthem marked the end of the programme.

31.01.2026: Annual Day for the Alumni: The former students of the school were formally invited for the Annual Day Programme. The celebration began with the inauguration of the first ever Alumni meet at our school. Rev. Sr. Principal and the alumni cut the ribbon to kick the days programme, and students were pinned with a brooch each. The programme started with a prayer song in the school hall. It was followed by a welcome dance. The principal welcomed the former students through a welcome address. Cultural performances included contemporary dance, English skit, Hindi dance drams, mime and Incredible India dance. The audiences were enthralled with the performances of the students and expressed appreciation through accolades.

Later the alumni reminisced their school days by taking on to the stage. The entertained the audience through songs and dance. Hi-tea was served to all.

The event concludes with an alumni speech where the former students shared her fond memories with the school and the teachers. The students also shared about their career successes and nostalgic reflections. The alumni expressed their gratitude towards the management and staff.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to the alumni for their valuable presence and making the event memorable sumptuous meal was provided for all the alumni students and the staff. It was an opportunity for them to interact with staff informally. Overall the first alumni meet was a grand success and hoping for more such events in the future.
