The Junior Investiture Ceremony
The Junior Investiture Ceremony was conducted with great pride to officially induct the newly elected student leaders. The chief guest for the ceremony was Mrs. Ibo Sait, B.A., M.Ed.
The ceremony began with a welcome note by our Principal, Rev. Sr. Avia Vaz, followed by the introduction of the chief guest. Parents of the elected cabinet members were invited to attend the ceremony. Following the welcome address, the ceremonial lamp was lit, and the blessings of the Almighty were sought.
The young leaders were entrusted with their responsibilities and were presented with badges as a symbol of leadership and commitment. Our Principal, the chief guest, and the P.T. Master formally introduced the captains and vice-captains and presented the badges and sashes to the newly elected Student Council.
The Senior Investiture Ceremony
The Senior Investiture Ceremony was held with great dignity and grandeur, marking the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council. Dr. Rev. Fr. Noel Stephen Rozario, Correspondent and Principal of St. Joseph’s College, Ooty, graced the occasion with his august presence.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome address by our Principal. It was followed by the introduction of the chief guest, and the blessings of the Almighty were sought by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
The office bearers received their badges and sashes, symbolizing the trust and confidence placed in them. They solemnly took the oath of office, pledging to uphold the values of the institution and discharge their duties with integrity and sincerity.
FEAST CELEBRATION OF BLESSED MOTHER MARIA CLARA
The Feast of our foundress, Blessed Mother Maria Clara, was celebrated with great devotion and joy in the school. It marked the 183rd death anniversary of our foundress.
The celebration began with a special prayer service, during which students and staff reflected on the life, virtues, and inspiring mission of Mother Maria Clara.
Various cultural activities like speeches, dance, and skits were organized to honour her legacy. Through various performances, students paid tribute to her remarkable contributions and enduring values.

Staff members lit a candle symbolizing the motto, “Do good where good is to be done.” The celebration served as a meaningful reminder of Mother Maria Clara’s enduring spirit and inspired everyone to follow her example of love, kindness, and commitment to serving others. The day was marked by gratitude, reflection, and a renewed dedication to living out her values in daily life.
INTER-HOUSE CHESS COMPETITION
The Inter-House Chess Competition was conducted with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Participants from all the four houses competed in the U-11, U-14, U-17, and U-19 categories with determination, displaying excellent planning and patience.
The event was meticulously organized by Ms. Janarthan and the students of the Chess Club. Under each category, four players represented their respective houses. The tournament was inaugurated by our Principal, Rev. Sr. Avia Vaz.
The competition witnessed several exciting games as students carefully analysed their moves and challenged their opponents. The competition was a memorable event that highlighted the importance of discipline, focus, and strategic thinking.
DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAMME
Purpose:
To create awareness among the students about the dangers of drug abuse, its harmful effects on health and society, and to provide information about drug prevention and helpline services.
Resource People:
Mr. Nandhakumar – Inspector of Police, and
Mr. Shikenthar – Sub-Inspector, along with their team members, explained the harmful effects of drug addiction to the Higher Secondary students. They emphasized the importance of making healthy life choices and educated students on identifying and avoiding substance abuse.
They shared important helpline numbers for assistance and rehabilitation services. Students were encouraged to report drug-related activities to the authorities.
Overall, the programme was informative and beneficial to all the students.
